The goddess of Mt. Fuji
A goddess representing the beauty of cherry blossom, a flower of Japan.
Ninigino-mikoto, a god went down to earth by the order of Amaterasu Oomikami, fell in love with beautiful Konohana-sakuya-himeno-mikoto at first sight. When she got pregnant after single night affair, Ninigino-mikoto doubted if it was really his child. To clear this suspicion, she set fire to the delivery house and gave birth to 3 babies in the raging flames, insisting that children of a god would be born safely in any situation. She embodies Mt. Fuji that is not only beautiful, but also strong, energetic, and noble.
